Rationale:
1. Cheaper - No more expensive server hosting connection costs
2. Better uptime and reliability
3. No maintenance
4. Longevity
I've now down sized pretty much all my servers to second party providers. I no longer need to attempt to maintain an UPS (or hardware for that matter) for each of the following items:
- Network connection / switches
- Mail server
- Web server
- Firewall
